Crypto wallet Zumo adds support for Bitcoin SV (BSV) after BTC and ETH » CryptoNinjas

Published

on

Zumo, a crypto wallet and payments app, has announced that it can now be used to store and receive the cryptocurrency Bitcoin SV (BSV).

BSV is the third cryptocurrency to be supported by the non-custodial Zumo wallet. Users can also hold or trade Ether and Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV) emerged from a hard fork of Bitcoin Cash (BCH); which itself emerged after a hard fork of Bitcoin (BTC). It is an extension of the same original blockchain with some amendments that have targeted the dual benefits of cheaper transaction fees and increased transaction capacity.

The name comes from its supporters’ belief that BSV aligns with the original vision of Satoshi Nakamoto; who first published the white paper explaining Bitcoin.

£10,000 worth of Bitcoin SV giveaway to celebrate

To celebrate the arrival of BSV to the wallet, Zumo is launching a giveaway of £10,000 worth of Bitcoin SV. Any UK resident who opens a new wallet with Zumo passes ID verification and makes a £1 deposit between June 25th, 2021 and July 26th, 2021 will be eligible to win the prize of £10,000 in BSV.

“We’re excited about offering BSV to our users. We’re hoping to introduce British crypto investors to BSV; as well as attracting new users who have never engaged with smart money before. To anyone who’s considering getting involved in crypto I’d say: we’re here to help.”
– Paul Roach, Zumo’s Chief Product Officer

Crypto Has ‘An Awful Lot of Promise’ and Bitcoin Is ‘Mathematically Pure’: Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak

Published

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak thinks Bitcoin represents “mathematical purity.”

The legendary tech innovator says in a new interview with Yahoo! Finance that the US dollar isn’t fixed because the government can just print more money and continue borrowing.

Bitcoin, by contrast, can’t change its circulation, Wozniak explains.

“Bitcoin isn’t run by some company. It’s just mathematically pure, and I believe nature over humans always.”

The Apple co-founder thinks the crypto sector has an “awful lot of promise” and the potential to change business practices and other elements of society, even elections.

However, he doubts governments will let crypto get too powerful.

“I love it when people like [Twitter CEO] Jack Dorsey talk [about] how crypto should be the heart of our business dealings. The trouble is, the government will never allow it to be out of their control. If it got to the point that everything was being done with crypto and it didn’t pass through governments for observation and taxation and all of that, governments would just disallow it. They wouldn’t give up their power. That’s where the heart of a lot of the power comes from – the US dollar.”

Wozniak also says he does find the anonymity of the crypto sector a bit troubling.

“Crypto just has a little bit of anonymity, and I don’t know if that’s right… I think that everything that you do in life you should be able to stand up and say, ‘Well this is me doing this transaction.’ And [with] crypto, it’s hard to trace back to who’s doing what. It’s possible though.”

Wozniak recently co-founded Efforce, a Malta-based blockchain company that aims to be the first decentralized and borderless platform allowing anyone to participate in and fund innovations in green technology through cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. The company’s native token is WOZX.

Coinbase Accidentally Adds $181,000,000 in Shiba Inu to the Wallet of This NASCAR Driver – He Wants None of It

A popular NASCAR driver woke up to an unexpected sum of Shiba Inu (SHIB) in his Coinbase account but has promptly decided to return the valuable memecoins to the crypto exchange.

NASCAR driver Keith McGee is the first Alaskan to start a NASCAR race and the first disabled veteran in the history of NASCAR.

McGee is a part-time driver reliant on sponsorship funding. On Wednesday, he announced that he was unable to secure funding to participate in the upcoming NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finale at Phoenix Raceway.

“Sadly, I was unable to secure funding for the one race I have been looking forward to the most all season. With that, my 2021 season has come to an end. Thank you to all the partners that helped me reach many goals this year. Time to start working on 2022.”

McGee woke up Thursday morning to $181 million in SHIB in his Coinbase account. However, McGee wanted nothing to do with the surprise money.

“Hey Coinbase, I woke up to having $181 million extra dollars in my account that doesn’t belong to me, and I would like to return it”

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has skyrocketed since the beginning of October, capturing many traders’ attention throughout the cryptocurrency space. At time of writing, SHIB is boasting over a $40 billion market cap according to CoinGecko, up over 1,000% from its $3.62 billion market cap on the first day of October.

At time of writing, Coinbase has yet to respond to McGee about the misplaced sum.

Macro Guru Raoul Pal Names Four ‘Most Undervalued’ Altcoin Projects, Says Ethereum Position Now Larger Than Bitcoin

Published

By

Real Vision founder and CEO Raoul Pal is highlighting four altcoin projects that he believes have major upside in the long run.

Pal tells his 711,000 Twitter followers that altcoins targeting unique social and virtual use cases are currently the most undervalued on the market.

He points to the non-fungible token (NFT) platform Rally (RLY), tokenized sports exchange Chiliz (CHZ), and gaming metaverses The Sandbox (SAND) and Decentraland (MANA) as four of the most early and promising protocols in all of crypto.

He’s also a big believer in the NFT-focused company Dapper Labs.

“I obviously also own BTC and a whole bunch of other crypto (layers 1’s, DeFi and interoperability stuff). I think the most undervalued plays for the future (not now) are Rally, Chiliz, Dapper Labs, The Sandbox, Decentraland and other metaverse and social tokens…

I’m not shilling them as they are big-picture future plays. I am not looking for quick gains in those strategic, undervalued bets so don’t follow me in expecting a pump.”

According to Pal, Facebook’s recent rebranding to Meta is a fresh sign that a virtual transformation is underway that will introduce the masses to blockchain technology.

“Make no mistake – Meta/Facebook with Diem and the metaverse experience is a way to onboard billions of people into this world of distributed ledger technology…

This is what adoption looks like – it maybe not what you want, but it is what it is. Again, we have the choice to participate or not. This is very different to the physical world. Your opinion of Meta is just a matter of where you hang out.”

Pal also says now he holds “irresponsibly” long positions in Ethereum (ETH), which recently hit a new all-time high, that dwarf all of his other personal investments.

“Just so we are clear – I am more than irresponsibly long ETH right now. I now have leverage but via calls. This is by far and away the biggest personal position of my entire life by a factor of 10 (or more).

My view horizon for this part of the trade is 6 to 9 months.”
